Etat Libre d’Orange Remarkable People

Remarkable People

Top note is very masculine, musky spicy underneath Grapefruit, champagne and, sandalwood. Mid-day top note changed to new leather, and that was a super cool surprise. My take: To me, it was similar to the trendy cologne made for a famous fashion designer (just passed away), but this is much deeper, warmer, more complex and less in your face.

I had a great time sampling this product.

Etat Libre d’Orange Fat Electrician

Fat Electrician

Top notes: Cedar Vetiver warm wood tones chestnut cream, olive leaves, myrrh, vanilla. My take: Imagine going into a museum and opening an ancient chest of cedar drawers, and there’s something naughty inside. That’s my best attempt to describe this cologne. I like it. Mid-day update: Wood tones have settled down, and now I would describe it as cream, vanilla, musk. Much softer and very lovely.

I had a great time sampling this product.

Etat Libre d’Orange “Cologne”

Cologne

Top notes are citrus orange blossom and spice. Underneath: bergamot and musk. Mid-day: This is going to sound strange, but “Cologne” is bringing back pleasant childhood memory’s for me. It reminds me of the first scent I ever went crazy over as a child. The notes I perceive in this cologne were applied to a picture in a very fancy scratch and sniff children’s book I was obsessed with It was a picture of a farm, and the scent was a spicy, musky leathery wonderland. I would sneak into the playroom and scratch that picture day after day until the ink rubbed away from the page. Sophisticated and masculine, I’m incredibly pleased that the notes in this scent are back in my life. I am giving this 110% out of 100%. “Cologne” is the best of the best. I’m not a king, but I speculate that Louie the sun king would love this for the sophisticated orange blossom note alone. I hope that people at Etat Libre d’Orange never figure out I would buy this at any price.

I had a great time sampling this product.

Etat Libre d’Orange Dangerous Complicity

Dangerous complicity

Top note sweet rum ginger, spice. Underneath leather with a delicate blend of complexity. If your goal is to attract an American female or male, then this is the correct blend. Sweet and fruity all the rockstar notes of cologne and perfume from the 1970s. Mid-Day sweet, fruity and soft powdery leather. Just a touch too gentle for me but many people will love this.

I had a great time sampling this product.

Etat Libre d’Orange Putain Des Palaces

Putain Des Palaces English: Fucking Palaces.

Yes, it has been described as a fragrance for the femme fatale, but I’m rocking it today, so I get extra points for tenacity. I don’t care, and I dig this scent. Flowery and powdery but masculine and tough. It’s delicious. My team of male testers have an ongoing debate, would they like to rock it themselves or enjoy it on a female companion? The answer is overwhelming both. We want to wear this fragrance and have our partners ware it at the same time. We can’t get enough. Someones been digging through 1700s perfumer Jean-Louis Fargeon’s old notes to create the ultimate fragrance for the queen of France and found the essential elements. Putain Des Palaces should be relaunched at Versailles to complete the story of one of the most magnificent unisex fragrances ever.

I had a great time sampling this product.

Etat Libre d’Orange Jasmin et Cigarette

Jasmin et Cigarette

Top note: Jasmin. Underneath: Cedar musk and tobacco. Mid-day: powdery jasmine tobacco. My take: It’s like walking into an old Hollywood actresses bungalow. My uncle owned a used furniture store in Hollywood, so I have been in several Hollywood hills bungalows. Jasmin et Cigarette captures them perfectly. Jasmin et Cigarette captures the delicate scent of a person who was once everyone’s everything and rubbing elbows with golden age greats. Jasmin et Cigarette is where Art Deco meets Craftsmen style California. When Frank Lloyd Wright and Julia Morgan had rendezvous to discuss architecture, the room would have had this scent. Simply Delightful.

I had a great time sampling this product.

Etat Libre d’Orange Secretions Magnifies

Secretions Magnifies

Secretions Magnifies came in the mail today, and we were excited to review it. I opened the sample, and it was a stick instead of a spray. Not realizing this, I spilled half the sample on my hand. In the excitement, we realized this was a chance to turn an obstacle into an opportunity, so we got right to work. We have seen the videos of people freaking out upon sampling this, and In my opinion, they are exaggerating. Maybe because of the name or fear of the unknown? Let’s start with what it is not: This is not the worst smelling fragrance I have tried, but it is unique. It is not sour, and I did not experience notes of trash, piss, or spoiled milk. What it is: It is an individual human-like scent. Top Note is an ocean. Underneath I get sandalwood and luxury. It’s like a late afternoon at the beach smelling ocean spray with cum on your hand at the same time. It is like a fresh new romance and the excitement of licking someone’s inner thigh. It’s not for everyone, but It’s pretty cool. There’s no need to be afraid of this fragrance at all. I would place the overall scent on the feminine side. On dry-down it’s top Note has a beach vibe, sandalwood and clean, fresh soap which can be a bit harsh but its captured realistically. Secretions Magnifiques is an experience, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

I had a great time sampling this product.

Etat Libre d’Orange Fils De Dieu Du Riz Et Des Agrumes

Fils De Dieu Du Riz Et Des Agrumes English: “Son Of God Of Rice And Citrus”

Top note: Bergamot, wood, musk. Underneath: A very complex mix of ginger-lime coconut., spice. Clean slightly male-orientated cologne. Spicy and musky. Mid-day: Nice softer scents. Two separate coworkers had positive comments on this. One asked if I had wedding cakes, and the other said my cologne smells like almond ginger cakes. I am enjoying this. It was nice to put on, and dry-down is soft and spicy. Maybe this should be called La Cucina Della Nonna?

I had a great time sampling this product.

Etat Libre d’Orange Je Suis Un Homme

Je Suis Un Homme English: I Am A Man.

Top notes are wood leather and bergamot. Je Suis Un Homme makes me feel like I’m standing in the courtyard of a large country estate trying to decide whether I should take the horse for a run or just put on a tweed jacket, jump in the Land Rover and pop round the grounds. Very gentlemanly scent. Longevity is outstanding. Once a day with this one.

I had a great time sampling this product.
